    Since Our Founding In 2010, Usagainstalzheimer''s Action Has Worked Across Sectors To Accomplish Many Milestone Successes, Including:- Securing The National Goal Of Preventing And Effectively Treating Alzheimer''s By 2025 Through The National Alzheimer''s Plan.- Dramatically Increasing Government Investment In Alzheimer''s Research In The U.S. (And Prompting The U.K., Canada And Japan To Follow With Their Own Investments). Usagainstalzheimer''s Action Played A Key Role In The Recent 425 Million Increase In Alzheimer''s Funding Approved By Congress For Fy 2019. The Increase Brought The Total Nih Investment To Approximately $2.3 Billion Per Year, A Significant Improvement In The Path Toward Our Goal Of Research Funding Needed To Advance The Prevention And Effective Treatment Of Alzheimer''s By 2025. Through A Smart, Efficient Allocation Of Resources, Our Relatively Small Direct Investment Of $4.4 Million (Since 2010) Has Helped Generate More Than A Cumulative $1.84 Billion Increase In U.S. Federal Alzheimer''s Research Funding Since 2011 (Through Nih And The Department Of Defense). We Estimate The Increased Alzheimer''s Funding From Fy 2011-2018 Is Supporting More Than 1,000 Research Grants. - Raising Public Awareness Through Major News Media, Including Nbc''s "Today" Show, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Usa Today, Bloomberg Business Week, Forbes, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, Newsday, Reuters, Agence France-Presse, Women''s Health, Roll Call, Huffington Post, Washington Life And Politico.- Providing Current, Content-Rich, Accessible Information To A Wide Array Of Audiences In A Number Of Formats.
