    The Outsiders Baseball Association, Inc. Was Incorporated In 2008 By Volunteers To Provide Year-Round Baseball And Academic Opportunities For Low Income Latino Boys, Age 16-18 Living In The South Bronx, The Poorest Urban County In The United States. The Outsiders Organizes Winter Indoor Practice, Spring Training, And Summer And Fall League Play. In Addition, The Outsiders Provides Academic Counseling, After School Sat Practice, And A Summer Mentor Program Based At The Hearst Corporation In Mid-Town Manhattan. Typically 50 Boys Participate In The Baseball Program; Between 5-8 In The Mentor Program. As A Result Of The Mentor Program, 6 Young Latino Men Are Now Attending College On Full Scholarship In Colleges Ranging From The University Of Virginia At Charlottesville To Union College, Marist College And Sienna College, All In Upstate New York, Far From The Bronx.
